In order to enjoy your thread jewelry in beautiful condition for a long time, please refrain from wearing it when taking a bath or playing sports.
How to care for and wash metal fittings and thread jewelry
We recommend daily care of the metal fittings by wiping them with a soft cloth.
When caring for the thread part, we recommend soaking it completely and washing it.
Tassel/silk thread jewelry loses its shape
If your hair strands become curled or messy, or if your thread jewelry loses its shape and becomes curly, you can fix it at home.
Method ①
Boil water in a kettle, apply steam (white and contains moisture), and use your fingers to clean it.
Method ②
Soak it in water, shape it with your fingers, and dry it in the shade.
Both have the lustrous feel of silk thread, so please refer to the video and try them out.
How to soak and wash
Dissolve a mild detergent in water and leave it for 30 minutes before washing. Rinse with running water, adjust the shape and dry in the shade.
You can take care of all the areas that cannot be wiped off and every corner of the thread. At the same time, you can correct the shape, so please refer to the video and try it.
About material characteristics and care
Wild silk thread
Hue Rain’s original wild silk thread uses cocoon thread from “wild silkworms” that live in the wild. It is a rare and valuable material due to its difficulty in production. Because wild silkworms are adapted to harsh natural environments, they have a more natural color, stronger tension, and a calmer luster than domestic silkworms. Silk has a protein structure similar to that of human skin, so it can be used safely even by people with sensitive skin or allergies. Silk thread has a triangular prism shape and reflects and diffuses light beautifully, creating a unique shine. The color may fade or change over time, but please enjoy the beauty that comes with the passage of time. Please refrain from wearing it when taking a bath or playing sports as sweat and sebum stains may adhere to it. It can be soaked and washed.
Hand-pressed pure gold thread
A traditional Japanese craft with a very long history, made by wrapping high-purity genuine gold leaf around silk thread. It is an expensive and valuable thread because so many parts are handmade by craftsmen. It has adorned various aspects of Japanese culture, including kimonos, the make-up wear worn by sumo wrestlers, and the curtains and sleeves of stages and theaters. You can enjoy the shine of pure gold from the supple thread for a long time. The gold leaf may peel off due to strong friction, so please handle it gently. It can be soaked and washed.
K18YG
It is 18K yellow gold. It is made of 75% pure silver, mixed with approximately 12.5% silver and 12.5% copper, and has a cool color that is slightly yellower than pure gold. Please wipe with a soft cloth for daily care.
K14GF
K14GF (14K gold filled) has a much thicker layer of gold coating than gold plating, so it hardly peels off like gold plating, so it is less likely to cause metal allergic reactions. It’s attractive. It is a more expensive material than silver, and is rust-resistant and can be used for a long time with the same shine as pure gold. To clean it, please wipe it with a soft cloth as you would with pure gold.
Freshwater pearl
Freshwater pearls are attractive for their soft, smooth shine. Since it is a natural product, each grain has its own unique size and shape, and each grain has a special feeling. Please be careful as freshwater pearls are softer than other pearls and easily scratch. Wipe away sweat and sebum stains with a soft cloth.
